Today the shrine grotto and forecourt look worn, and are in need of refurbishment. Paving needs to be replaced, the grotto altar and flooring repaired, and disabled access facilities installed to allow movement between church, grotto and hall.  This cost of this renovation work has been estimated at £200,000.

The shrine belongs to the whole of the diocese and benefits us all. We ask you for donations towards this project.

Individuals can help by sending a donation. It is hoped that the renovation work will be complete by the summer of 2008, ready to celebrate the 150^th anniversary of the apparitions at Lourdes.
